This project explores the work of Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice, documenting the care, compassion and support that shape the experiences of children with life-shortening conditions and their families. While filming and photographing within an environment built on trust and dignity, I chose to avoid capturing identifiable faces or revealing names, instead focusing on hands, gestures, sound and the spaces that speak to the hospice's everyday work. This approach emphasises presence, connection and care while respecting the privacy of those at the heart of the hospice.

Through observations of sensory rooms, interactive play sessions and therapeutic environments, the work reveals the many ways Tŷ Hafan creates opportunities for comfort, creativity and meaningful experiences. Alongside these visual moments, an interview with a member of staff provides insight into their perspective on the hospice's purpose, reflecting on the support they provide, the relationships they build and what they hope to achieve through their work with children and their families.

This work is dedicated to recognising the remarkable role of Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice, not only as a provider of specialist care, but as a place where play, comfort and family life continue to be nurtured despite the challenges of living with life-shortening conditions. It is a reflection on the quiet moments, dedicated staff and supportive spaces that make the hospice an invaluable source of strength for the families it serves.
